HYDERABAD: Veteran actor, producer, and costume designer costume krishna passed away due to age-related health issues. The Tollywood industry has been mourning the loss of the artist who was famous for his villain and character roles. Several celebrities have expressed their condolences to the family of the artist on social media.

Born as Madasu Krishna, Costume krishna began his career as an assistant costume designer in films and soon gained popularity for designing costumes of top actors like Sr NTR, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Chiranjeevi and leading actresses like Vanishree, Jayasudha, and Jayaprada. Then he turned into an actor and appeared in over 100 movies in his acting career which spanned across three decades. He is known for movies like ‘Bharat Bandh’, ‘Police Lockup’, ‘Allari Mogudu’, ‘Devullu’, ‘Villain’, ‘Pettintiki Raa Chelli’, and more. He also produced a few movies including ‘Aswaddhama’ and ‘Pelli Pandiri’.

The actor is survived by two daughters and sons. The funeral will be held in Vizianagaram district later this week. On the advice of director Kodi Ramakrishna, Costume krishna started acting in movies and made his debut with Bharat Bandh in 1991. He acted in numerous movies as a villain and supporting artist and received acclaim for his performance. He also worked as a film producer and bankrolled many films including Pelli Pandiri. He was a popular face in the Telugu cinema during early 90s. He leaves behind a huge legacy and will be missed by his fans and colleagues.
